Office Gynecology

Office Gynecology is an outpatient medical service that encompasses the diagnosis, treatment, and management of the female reproductive system and all related processes.

At Caraps Medline, the following conditions are treated in accordance with international protocols and guidelines, through a multidisciplinary and individualized approach:

PCR Testing for Infections

Colposcopy

Colposcopy is a diagnostic method that allows microscopic examination of the cervix to detect existing pathologies. At Caraps Medline’s Office Gynecology Department, the latest medical and technological innovations are applied to improve women’s quality of life. Colposcopic examinations are performed using the newest generation DYSIS device, equipped with artificial intelligence (AI DYSIS system). This advanced colposcopy system has the unique ability to identify abnormal areas with maximum accuracy and, if necessary, to perform a targeted biopsy. The examination is carried out using a combined method. With this technology, the detection rate of precancerous cervical lesions increases from 31% to 60%.

Office Diagnostic Hysteroscopy with STORZ Equipment

Hysteroscopic diagnosis and treatment in patients with subfertility is considered a highly effective method, as it is one of the safest and simplest surgical techniques in gynecology. Office hysteroscopy is an outpatient procedure that does not require anesthesia, lengthy intervention, or hospital stay. It is a precise diagnostic method characterized by high sensitivity and specificity. With its help, endometrial pathologies can be detected that are not visible on HSG or ultrasound.

Indications for Hysteroscopy:

  • Pathological findings on HSG/ultrasound
  • Abnormal uterine bleeding
  • Peri- and postmenopausal bleeding
  • Uterine developmental anomalies (e.g., septum)
  • Suspected intrauterine pathologies (polyps, submucosal fibroids, adhesions)
  • Catheterization and sterilization of the fallopian tubes
  • Retained IUCD or foreign body in the uterine cavity
  • Recurrent miscarriages
  • Unexplained infertility

CO₂ Laser Vaporization of Vulvar, Vaginal, and Cervical Condylomas

Condylomas of the vulva caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) are among the most common sexually transmitted diseases. Timely treatment is especially important as it serves as prevention of precancerous conditions. The advantage of this method is a reduced risk of recurrence and the possibility of preserving fertility in women of reproductive age.

Cervical Conization with CO₂ Laser
Conization with a CO₂ laser is a unique method performed without bleeding and without direct mechanical impact on the tissue. The laser beam, guided by a microscope and micromanipulator, cuts or vaporizes atypical areas and pathological microflora. The procedure does not negatively affect reproductive health. Recovery takes 4–6 weeks, after which the cervix fully heals without scarring.

Atmos Strobo 21 LED – High-Frequency Radio Wave Device
Using a radio wave scalpel, the pathological area is excised in a cone shape. The excision zone maintains a temperature of 45–55°C, which minimizes the risk of thermal necrosis and reduces the likelihood of postoperative inflammation.

Monalisa Touch

Office Gynecology and Aesthetic Procedures with CO₂ Laser and MonaLisa Touch

Office gynecology, through instrumental methods combined with CO₂ laser technology and the MonaLisa Touch device, makes it possible to perform advanced aesthetic gynecological procedures. Congenital pathologies, past surgical interventions, and menopause can lead to decreased estrogen production in the ovaries, which in turn causes vaginal atrophy. The female genital tract is particularly sensitive to hormonal changes, and low estrogen levels frequently result in symptoms of vaginal atrophy. These symptoms negatively affect sexual health, cause discomfort, urinary incontinence, and other unpleasant sensations.

At Caraps Medline, these problems are addressed using the latest-generation medical laser device MonaLisa Touch, produced by DEKA. To date, the device has no equivalent in terms of safety and effectiveness. Laser therapy with MonaLisa Touch is considered an unrivaled method of vaginal rejuvenation. Internationally, MonaLisa Touch™ is recognized as the gold standard for treating functional, physiological, and post-traumatic changes of the female genital organs, as well as a non-hormonal alternative to hormone replacement therapy during menopause. The frequency and duration of treatment are determined by the physician after assessing the patient’s condition.

Indications for MonaLisa Touch:
Patients with vaginal atrophy most often complain of burning and dryness, sometimes accompanied by discharge (lymphorrhea). Many women also experience pain and slight bleeding during intercourse, which leads to reduced sexual activity, psychological stress, and partner relationship issues.

  • Vulvo-vaginal and urethro-vaginal atrophy (especially in menopause)
  • Thinning, inflammation, or changes of the vaginal epithelium
  • Dyspareunia (painful intercourse)
  • Vaginal microflora and pH imbalance
  • Early-stage involuntary urination
  • Urinary incontinence (related to atrophy and mild anterior vaginal wall prolapse)
  • Vaginal wall relaxation, enlargement, or loss of tone (postpartum)
  • Perineal or anal fissures
  • Changes in color and tone of vulvar mucosa and external genital organs
  • Vaginal trauma and scarring
  • Pigmentation disorders in the genital area caused by hormonal problems

Advantages of MonaLisa Touch:

  • Short procedure time (15–30 minutes)
  • Minimal recovery period
  • Restores both the aesthetic and functional aspects of the problem
  • No restrictions on sexual activity
  • Outpatient procedure that does not require medication

During the procedure, tissue oxygenation is improved and the collagen matrix is restored, resulting in:

  • Normalization of vaginal pH and microflora (eliminating dryness, itching, burning, lymphorrhea)
  • Restoration of the tone and elasticity of the lower genital mucosa and external genital skin (reduction of vaginal volume and lifting of its walls)
  • Elimination of dyspareunia and urinary incontinence
  • Increased libido and improved quality of sexual life
